Dedicated lanes, so capacity stops being a weekly gamble

Recurring freight on a contract rate, with the same equipment and the same drivers, so your shipping schedule stops depending on what the spot market feels like that morning.

The point of dedicated is predictability

Spot pricing is fine until the market tightens and your freight is suddenly the load nobody wants at that rate. A dedicated lane trades the chance of a cheap week for the certainty of covered freight every week.

  • A rate you can budget. Agreed for the term rather than rebid every Monday, so the number in your budget is the number on the invoice.
  • The same drivers. Drivers who know your dock, your receiver and your paperwork. Familiarity removes most of the small problems.
  • Capacity held for you. Equipment committed to the lane, so a busy market does not mean your freight sits.
  • Reviewed honestly. If the lane stops working for either side, we say so and rework it rather than quietly letting service slide.
Who this suits

Freight we move on this equipment every week

Regular outbound lanes

The same origin to the same region every week, where consistency matters more than shaving a few dollars.

Plant and DC shuttles

Short recurring runs between facilities that need to happen on a fixed schedule.

Seasonal programmes

Volume that spikes on a known calendar, planned in advance instead of scrambled for.

The detail

Specifications and how we run it

The numbers shippers ask for before they book. If your freight sits outside any of these, say so and dispatch will tell you what it needs instead.

Questions

Asked before most bookings

How much volume do I need for a dedicated lane?

Enough to keep a truck usefully busy on a repeating schedule. Send your weekly volume and the lane and we will tell you honestly whether dedicated makes sense or whether spot is still the better deal for you.

Is a dedicated rate cheaper than spot?

Sometimes, and sometimes not. It is more predictable, which for most shippers is worth more than the occasional cheap week, especially when capacity tightens.

Can dedicated lanes use reefer or flatbed equipment?

Yes. Dedicated describes the commitment, not the trailer. The equipment is whatever the freight needs.

What happens if my volume drops?

You tell us, and we rework the arrangement. A contract that punishes a shipper for an honest change in volume is a contract that ends badly for both sides.
